Hazard lists

Globally unique and language-independent threats

What are Safexpert Hazard Lists?

Hazard lists contain a listing of all hazards and hazard events from:

  • EN ISO 12100, Annex B, Table B.1 resp.
  • ANSI ISO 12100, Annex B, Table B.1

The hazard lists in Safexpert are provided with a so-called "Global-Safexpert-Identifier" (GSI). This allows each hazard to be clearly identified in any national language.

Hazard lists are the content of the modules risk assessment.

Your benefit

  • They systematically work through the risk assessment according to the standardised list of hazards.
  • By means of the Global Safexpert Identifier (GSI), it is ensured that hazards in exported projects are unambiguously assigned to unique hazards again after the import.
  • Using the GSI, you can translate hazard lists into other national languages and exchange them within the project.
  • In the event of changes to standards, it is ensured that hazards can be clearly updated.

How it works:

  • If you have only installed one hazard list, this hazard list is automatically adopted when creating a new project.
  • If you have installed several hazard lists, a selection appears as to which hazard list you want to use in your project.
  • In the course of your risk assessment, you decide for each hazard whether it is relevant for your machine or not.
  • In the course of evaluating the project status, Safexpert checks whether you or your colleagues have set "Risk sufficiently reduced" for all relevant hazards.
