As part of the risk assessment, hazards are identified and the necessary risk mitigation measures are determined. An additional challenge often lies in ensuring that these measures are consistently implemented and monitored. This is precisely where the task management system in Safexpert comes in.
Keeping track of to-dos from the risk assessment
A risk assessment often results in numerous to-dos – ranging from design modifications and the implementation of protective measures to supporting documentation such as strength calculations, the installation of warning signs or overrun time measurements. To ensure these tasks are not forgotten, Safexpert users on the Safexpert Pro package or higher benefit from an integrated task management system. This helps to
Particularly helpful for unusual requirements
Standardised activities are already covered by existing processes within the quality management system in many organisations. It is often the tasks that fall outside these established procedures that are critical:
It is precisely these issues that are often overlooked because they fall outside the scope of existing work instructions and are therefore not firmly embedded in day-to-day work. The integrated task management system helps to highlight such tasks and track them systematically until they are completed.
Integrated into project progress
A particular advantage is that tasks are directly linked to the risk assessment and project progress. In Safexpert, a hazard can only be assessed as having been sufficiently mitigated once all associated tasks have been completed. Similarly, a Safexpert project cannot be closed until all the project’s tasks have been completed. This prevents risks from being assessed as sufficiently mitigated or projects from being closed whilst important measures, calculations, measurements or verifications are still outstanding.
