The EU Product Safety Regulation 2023/988 for the first time lays down binding requirements for the content and design of recall notices in relation to non-harmonised and harmonised consumer products. Based on Art. 36 para.3 of the Regulation, the Commission has now issued Implementing Regulation (EU) 2024/1435, which sets out a template for a standardised recall notice.
